~Fierce Find~

Happy Monday luv's,

So last week was a crazy week for me. I had my internship, worked on casting for some of my own shoots and I had the special treat of helping out at Corbin Bleu's premiere for his new movie "Free Style" were I mixed and mingled with a few people. All in all not a shabby wk.

Rayna and I

Justin and I

So for a quick recap to what this fashionista has been working on in no special order: some test shoots (two particular looks I am trying to get off the ground, assisting one of my cousin's who is starting his own clothing line with his fashion show this week, helping another designer put together some looks for her look book, attending my internship ofcourse, working (yes this diva has acquired a side gig lol), and last but not least I have been doing some more writing and contributing. Busy life I tell ya. All in a days work I suppose.

Soon I'll do a more detailed blog on updates on my personal life. Haven't done that in a while.

Anyways, onto...

Retailer: Forever21
*In stores nationwide and online

Jewelry, Jewelry, Jewelry. I LOVEEEE JEWELRY. Especially costume jewelry. I am a costume jewelry whore. Yes I said it. I am. I don't know about yall, but a gal can NEVER have too much jewelry. Forever21 is a GREAT place to find jewelry pieces your fashion heart desires at a great price. This beautiful cocktail necklace featured today is perfect for day and night or day into night hehe. At $9.80 it is a MUST HAVE. It is the perfect way to dress a simple outfit up. Personally, I'd go online to order this because its a better gurantee than going into the store. For this steal they may not be on the shelves long.

My thoughts: Fashion Wk, VMA's & Fierce Find

Wassup Luv's,

So the past few days have been very exciting for New York City with fashion week and the VMA's. New York was representing to the fullest and yourz truly has a lot to say about it.

New York Fashion Week:

There have been some wonderful collections for Spring 2010. My favorites thus far: Cesar Galindo, Jason Wu, Christian Siriano, Vivienne Tam and Diane Von Furstenberg. I am looking forward to Zac Posen, Carolina Herrera, Carlos Miele, Michael Kors, 3.1 Phillip Lim and last, but not least Bryan Reyes (I adore him). This Fashion week I assisted wardrobe backstage for: Cesar Galindo, Jason Wu, Vivienne Tam and the upcoming Bryan Reyes show. Working backstage is such an experience in itself, a very valuable one. Fun, Fun, Fun. What shows have yall seen? and what's your favorite? Let me know your thoughts.

MTV's: Video Music Awards:

So wowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww if you have yet to see the VMA's it is definitely a MUST SEE for many reasons. Follow me on twitter: www.twitter.com/yannid125 to get my personal opinions on various topics dealing with the VMA's. Right now I just wanted to focus on my MOST/LEAST favorite look from the VMA's red carpet.

MOST LIKED:

Beyonce wore a fabulous red mini dress by Roberto Cavalli and looked stunning

LEAST LIKED:

Lady GaGa wore a Jean Paul Gaultier Lace dress and a Keko Hainswheeler neck brace. All I can say is we have to respect Lady GaGa's hustle, but seriously what a statement she was trying to make here. She definitely gets a few points for being bold.

Labor Day Fierce Find...

Happy Labor Day luv's,

How has everyone been spending their long wknd? I have been sick as hell.

I know a hot mess.

No parties no bbq's no nada for me. I been home and married to my bed all weekend. I am feeling a bit better today, but I still feel like crap that's why I am now posting. Rather late than never though ;-).

So let's tackle some housekeeping things before getting into my fierce find of the week. Trust its def a good find even Rachel Zoe agrees.

As we all know this week begins fashion week (September 10th-September 17th). Yours truly will be working a few of the shows which is definitely exciting. I cannot wait. My week is going to be full. No complaints over here though :-). Also, I will be covering Brooklyn Fashion Week as a fashion contributor for www.BeChicMag.com. Please check the site if you have yet to do so. It's a great web zine focusing on beauty, fashion and entertainment. Somewhere in the mix of all of this I intend to do a shoot I have been working on. So we shall see how the week plays out.

With that being said let's move onto....

~LABOR DAY FIERCE FIND~
